Senior Program Advisor
Paul Thallner has held senior leadership positions in non-profit, corporate, and government organizations. Throughout his 20+ year career, Paul has helped organizations see their challenges in new ways, reframe questions they ask, and ultimately change for the better. He is responsible for ensuring Camber Outdoors’ programs – particularly the CEO Pledge – accelerate the organization’s mission.
Paul was previously president of a New York based non-profit that increased student achievement among low-income urban students. He was a partner at a global consulting company where he advised C-level executives on culture and HR strategy and managed a $3M client portfolio. Earlier in his career, he was appointed by the governor of California to serve as advisor and communications director for a bipartisan commission to reform statewide education policy.
Paul’s an intrepid cyclist, skier and hiker whose love for the outdoors started in the ’80s when he and his best friend would take weekend trips to maintain parts of the Appalachian Trail. He lives outside of Philadelphia with his wife (a rower) and son (a skier and aspiring woodsman).
