Driven by her purpose and passion to create equitable systems, Mindy Silva has dedicated the last 16 years of her career to the field of philanthropy addressing issues of health and economic equity in underserved regions across the United States. Mindy has managed millions of dollars in philanthropic giving, helping private family foundations, corporations, Tribal Nations, high net-worth individuals, and nonprofits maximize the impact of their philanthropic investments. Notable in Mindy’s career is her ability to effectively engage stakeholders, manage large-scale projects to success and the passion she bring to each message she delivers about “our role in philanthropy.”
For more than a decade, Mindy served as part of a team that led on of the largest local philanthropic giving programs in Southern California’s Inland Empire with extensive reach into Indigenous communities. Today, as founding member of The MS. Group, a philanthropic consultancy, Mindy is dedicated to supporting grantmakers and nonprofits explore their vision and strategy for delivering diverse, equitable and inclusive philanthropy. Through her consultancy, she also reveals her passion for teaching and facilitation as she continues to share content that encourages social-entrepreneurship and positive engagement amongst community stakeholders.
Mindy serves as a Board of Directors and Development Committee Chair for Riverside University Health Systems Foundation in Riverside, California. She volunteers her time as a Young Adults Leader at Church of the Hand of God in Fontana, California, mentoring young adults. Mindy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History/Political Science and minor’s in Social Science and Religion from Vanguard University of Southern California.
