Camber Outdoors Workplace Equity Working Group
Workplace Equity Working Group
Wednesday, July 25 | 3pm-6pm
The Commons on Champa
The goal of the WEWG is to convene member companies, non-profits, and key stakeholders to co-create agreed upon industry indicators for accelerating business performance through a lens of more equitable and inclusive workplace cultures where a diversity of ideas, perspectives, and people lead.
Since launching the Camber CEO Pledge three years ago, we have conducted over 100 interviews with CEOs, HR and marketing liaisons, and outside DEI and organizational design experts. In addition, Camber Outdoors has worked closely with OIA to incorporate best practices from their 10+ years of learnings with their Sustainability Working Group. The result is the creation of the WEWG- a first of its kind collaborative effort among active-outdoor industries brands, retailers, suppliers and other stakeholder organizations working to develop tools and guidance documents that identify and implement better business practices.
We hope you will be able to add your voice, perspective, and experience to this thought-leading initiative.
The Workplace Equity Working Group will become a community committed to:
- defining industry-level indicators for workplace equity
- continuous learning about workplace fairness, equity, and diversity;
- generous sharing of practices and stories of 'what works';
- working collaboratively in teams after ORSM to advance the work;
- ensuring the WEWG models with its actions the aspirational vision it has for the industry
We also realize not everyone will be attending ORSM or be in Denver on July 25. If you RSVP "I cannot attend" we will send you a post-meeting summary and will continue to invite you to contribute to this effort.
