About Our Panelists:

Matt Zwiebel (he/him/his) is the Executive Director of Pledge 1% Colorado. Having spent the first part of his career as employee #2 of an early stage startup and later helping run Galvanize, a co-working space and coding bootcamp, Zwiebel has turned his focus to helping Colorado entrepreneurs find creative ways of supporting their local community. At Pledge 1% Colorado, Zwiebel’s work is centered on making it simple for companies to meaningfully give back to their local communities.

Anupama Joshi (she/her/hers) is the Executive Director of Blue Sky Funders. Previously, she served as the executive director of the National Farm to School Network, which she co-founded in 2007. Her work was crucial in building a movement to incorporate local procurement, gardens, and farm education in schools and early care sites across the United States. Joshi is the co-author of “Food Justice” as well as the force behind “Evaluation for Transformation,” a pioneering cross-sectoral framework for farm to school research and evaluation. 

Joshi has advised the United States Department of Agriculture on the Farm to School Census, served on the board of directors for FoodCorps and the Community Alliance with Family Farmers, and is regularly asked to speak at national and international events. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Farmers Market Coalition and provides mentorship to emerging leaders through the Community Food Systems Mentorship Program.

Alex DeGolia (he/him/his)  is the Deputy Director of Catena Foundation, a nonprofit with the goal of restoring human and ecological systems. DeGolia leads the climate and clean energy program and supports overall strategy and operations. Previously, he worked at the Analyst Institute, White House Office of Management and Budget, US Department of Commerce, and Obama for America. DeGolia holds a PhD in environmental policy from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara and his dissertation research evaluated motivations for different types of individual pro-environmental behaviors and their policy implications. Occasionally, you’ll find him working as a field instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
