CAMBER DRIVING CHANGE IN WORKSPACES

Posted On January 18, 2024

Dear Camber Community,

As we reflect on the past year, it’s with a sense of pride and optimism that I write to you today. Despite economic challenges and significant shifts, Camber Outdoors has stood steadfast in its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our journey this year has been remarkable, marked by victories and a reinforced hope for a brighter future in workplaces.

The heart of our efforts has been the Camber Survey System, a tool rooted in transparency and data-driven decision-making. Providing deep insights into the DEI landscape of the outdoor industry, this system has been a catalyst for change, recognized by the American Evaluation Association with a feature in the New Directions for Evaluation publication in 2024.

Empowering Leaders and Fostering Connections:

  • Ann Krcik Mentoring Program: We have successfully paired over 111 mentors and mentees last year while serving over 1,200 participants since inception.
  • Leaders from the Future of Work Internship: This initiative served 43 interns and 6 partner companies.
  • Camber Survey System: Implemented across 45 partner organizations, engaging over 2,300 team members.
  • Conversations with Camber: Attracting over 700 registrants with more than 300+ attendees in our events.
  • Belonging Programming: Partner companies and hundreds of team members participated in our online programming in 2023.

Our Impact in Numbers:

  • 15,000 Lives Touched: Our dedication has positively impacted over 15,000 individuals, a testament to our unwavering commitment.
  • Social Media Engagement:

    • Instagram: Our community of 5,807 followers has shown active engagement with 238 interactions and 337 profile visits in the last 90 days.
    • LinkedIn: We’ve grown to 6,546 followers, a significant increase of 240 since January 1, 2023, and witnessed an increase in page visits to 2,639, up 71% from 2022.
  • Monthly Inclusion Newsletter: Launched in June, sent to over 15,000 contacts with an impressive average open rate of 40%.

Financial Health and Sustainability: Last year, we’ve not only paid off a  previous debt but also diversified our funding opportunities, ensuring we have more opportunities for stakeholders to support to increase our ability to continue serving our community effectively.

Looking Ahead: Our focus remains on building a future where diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just ideals but realities in every workspace. The success of our programs and initiatives is a beacon of hope and a reminder of the power of collective effort.

As we step into the future, we do so with the knowledge that our work is more important than ever. With your continued support, Camber Outdoors will remain at the forefront of creating inclusive, equitable, and thriving work environments in the outdoor industry.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Together, we’re not just making a difference; we’re shaping the future.

Cheers to 2024 – The Year We Make History!
