Evan Torrance is Director of Customer Service Experience (Gearheads) at Backcountry.com. With 20 years of experience in class-leading, international retail businesses and twelve years in strategic or executive leadership roles, he has gained a clear understanding of how best to maximize brand and shareholder value in strongly customer-facing and innovative businesses. He possesses extensive experience in e-commerce, vertical (owned) brand development, technology, navigating complexity, and building collaborative relationships in team-based cultures.
He is a lover of the outdoors and an active runner and cyclist. He has two sons, three degrees (incl. an MBA) and has studied and worked internationally, all while remaining actively involved in charity as the chairman of two small, education-related non-profit organizations.
