Who We Are

Camber is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 that equips Partner organizations across the $887 Billion Outdoor Recreation Economy to implement best practices in Workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Workplace DEI).

Our 200+ Camber Partners range from nonprofit organizations and leading industry associations to small businesses and Fortune 100 corporations.  They all share a commitment to taking action and implementing organizational change that creates inclusive cultures, equitable systems and ultimately attracts and retains a diversity of talent to their workplaces.  Our mission is to help them get there.

By 2030, more than half of American workers will be Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC). As an employer, are you ready to compete for this talent?

The business case is clear: More diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizations are better able to meet goals, win top talent and improve their customer orientation, employee satisfaction, and decision-making.  And all that leads to a virtuous cycle of increasing returns – for companies and nonprofits, for individuals and for communities.

Our Approach

We’re working to build great workplaces – and ultimately – an Industry of Choice for all. Research demonstrates that achieving inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplaces requires following the same path to achievement as other business best practices – developing goals, sharing accountabilities, engaging participation, and evaluating progress.

Camber delivers resources to our Partners across all leadership levels so that every employee can enact systemic organizational change and organizations can reach the full potential of Workplace DEI.
